13 WHAM - Buffalo Police confirmed Tuesday afternoon they recovered the body of a diver who went missing Friday afternoon.
The Buffalo Police Department said Officer Craig Lehner went missing around 1 p.m. Friday. Several agencies have been involved in the search by boat and helicopter.
Coast Guard officials say that during the search, it was discovered the diver's cable had broken off. The diver's secondary dive tanks were recovered.
Police dive teams from Rochester and other jurisdictions had been helping out with the search.
