Woman Tried to Start Fire Inside RGH

13 WHAM - "A Rochester woman was arrested Wednesday and charged with trying to set a fire inside Rochester General Hospital last month.

According to fire investigators, 43-year-old Latonya Williams was at the hospital on September 8.

Around 12:15 p.m., fire investigators said they were called to the emergency department for a woman who was threatening to set fire to the building.

Firefighters arrived and found Williams holding up a lighter with an open flame and threatening to set fire to combustible items nearby.

Due to the quick actions of the facility’s security, Williams did not set the fire.

Williams was charged with second-degree attempted arson. She is currently in the Monroe County Jail awaiting her arraignment."
