Arrest Made in Fatal Hit and Run in Irondequoit

Irondequoit Police have an arrest in the hit-and-run death of an Irondequoit woman last month.

They’ve charged 25-year-old Robert Hunter III with leaving the scene of an accident causing fatal injury. Police say he’s the driver who struck Nancy Lopez-Cruz as she walked along North Goodman Street early on the morning of May 27th. The car that hit her kept going, and her body was found later by another driver.

Police say they found evidence at the scene they were able to trace back to Hunter.

Bail has been set at $50,000. Hunter is due back in Irondequoit Court on June 11th.
