FOTW: NF Man Facing Weapons and Drug Charges

This Niagara Falls man came all the way to Penn Yan to be K&B's first Freak Of the Week of 2020!

From the Penn Yan Police Department:

Penn Yan Police arrested Bradley Zadul, 40, of Niagara Falls NY, Charles Buchanan, 38, of Penn Yan NY and Jessica Owen, 31, of Umatilla Florida following a vehicle pursuit that occurred at 2:34 a.m. on January 2nd 2020. Police observed Bradley Zadul leaving a suspected drug location in the Village of Penn Yan while having an uninspected vehicle. Officers stopped Zadul for the violation and while officers were approaching the vehicle Zadul fled the stop. Officers pursued Zadul through the Village and onto Buckle Road in Yates County when Zadul left the roadway and attempted to drive through a farmer’s field. In doing so Zadul broke through an electric fence and struck a barn before driving into a ditch. Zadul then attempted to flee on foot and was tasered by Yates County Sheriff’s Deputies who were assisting in the pursuit. Zadul and his passengers, Charles Buchanan and Jessica Owen, were all taken into custody. While searching Zadul Penn Yan Police located a loaded .25 caliber handgun in his waistband. Officers also located a sawed off 20 gauge shotgun in the vehicle that had the serial number defaced along with several bags of suspected methamphetamine and marihuana. Officers impounded Zadul's vehicle and a further search revealed a .22 caliber revolver along with numerous bags of marihuana seeds, over $1,100.00 in U.S. currency, a baton, knives and other drug paraphernalia. Zadul also appears to be a member of the Kingsmen Motorcycle Club as officers located a full Kingsmen Club vest along with numerous Kingsmen patches.

Zadul, who is a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing firearms and faces numerous charges from the incident including two counts aggravated criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon 2nd, two counts of criminal use of a firearm 2nd, criminally using drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, unlawfully fleeing a police officer, and faces further charges for the drugs found in the vehicle. Zadul was taken to the Yates County Jail and held on no bail due to having three or more prior felony convictions. Zudul also has three active warrants from other Law Enforcement agencies.

Charles Buchanan and Jessica Owen were both charged with criminal possession of a weapon 2nd, criminal use of a firearm 2nd and aggravated criminal possession of a weapon. Buchanan is being held on $5,000 cash bail and $10,000 fully secured bond or a $20,000 partially secured bond. Owen is being held on $10,000 cash bail and $20,000 fully secured bond or a $15,000 partially secured bond.
